STEDI is a consortium focused on long-range economic and community development in the rural areas of the Thurston County with the intent to engage the collective strengths and resources of the communities of Bucoda, Grand Mound, Rainier, Rochester, Tenino and Yelm – along with the organizing strategic community partners of the Thurston Regional Planning Council, Thurston Economic Development Council Center for Business & Innovation, WSU Thurston County Extension Office, Experience Olympia & Beyond Visitor & Convention Bureau, Thurston Conservation District and Port of Olympia – to identify and implement strategic efforts that will meet south county’s economic and community development goals.
